CWG scam: CBI raids Kalmadi Kalmadi’s houses in Delhi, Pune
The CBI on Friday carried out searches at the residential premises of Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi and his aide in Delhi and in Pune in connection with its probe into alleged irregularities in the conduct of the Games.

Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in New Delhi with a dazziling
India has displayed a dazzling and vibrant opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Games, the country’s biggest sporting spectacle, watched live by a global audience of around three billion.
The 19th Commonwealth Games was jointly declared open by President of India, Mrs Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Prince Charles of Britain.
In a spectacular opening ceremony, after the Queen’s baton was handed over by Beijing Olympic bronze medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar to Prince Charles, he read out the Queen’s message.

Intl players, delegates continue to arrive at Delhi for CWG
The another batches of nine more teams including Athletes and delegates have reached in New Delhi to participate in the Commonwealth games. 1100 athletes and delegates have already checked in games village.
The first batch of athletes from Scotland has also arrived. 280 athletes from the country will be arriving in batches. A 15 members from 203 member team of Malayasia has also checked in the Games village.
