New Zealand had scored against India 258 for 4 in their 1st innings at close of play on the opening day of the Hyderabad Cricket test today. Jesse Ryder on 22 and wicket keeper Gareth Hopkins, with no score were at the crease.
The highlight of the Kiwi innings today was a fine102 by opener McIntosh, which is his second Test hundred, and the first against India.
Earlier, On the first day of the second cricket test at Hyderabad, New Zealand were 159 for two at tea in their first innings against India.
With the wicket of Brendon McCullum in the fourth over, the hosts started the day’s proceedings on a positive note. However, the partnership of 147 runs between Martin Guptill and Tim McKintosh helped New Zealand to bounce back into the game. Guptill scored a brilliant 85 before he was out leg before, bowled by Ojha.
S. Sreesanth and Pragyan Ojha are the wicket-takers for India up till now. McIntosh on 55 and Ross Taylor on 4 were at the crease.
