Both Houses of Parliament amidst Opposition demanding JPC probe on 2G scam
The Opposition demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee,JPC, probe into 2G spectrum scam continued to disrupt the proceedings in Parliament for the 18th working day in a row.
With the stalemate over the issue still unresolved, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till noon as the unrelenting opposition members went on shouting slogans in the well of the houses and did not let the question hour to proceed.
This ultimately forced the adjournment of the two houses for an hour.
The non-UPA and non-NDA members also staged a Dharna outside Parliament to press their demand for JPC probe.
Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress leader Sudeep Bandhopadhyay said that his party will support the stand of the government on the issue of demand for JPC.
